We are looking for a supply of hardwood sapling poles, two to three inches in diameter. We'll pay $1 - $2 each. Please read more for more details!

Wanted to purchase:

Hardwood sapling poles including red and sugar maple, birches, hop horn beam, beech, oaks, cherry, ash, basswood. No aspen, striped maple, or softwoods.

Acceptable widths and lengths:

$1.00 each:

Saplings 73" in length. Base not more than 2" in diameter, top not less than 1-1/2" diameter.

$1.75 each:

Saplings 110" in length. Base not more than 2-1/4" diameter, top not less than 1-1/2" diameter.

$2.00 each:

Saplings 145" in length. Base not more than 2-1/2" in diameter, top not less than 1-1/2" diameter.

Branches removed without damage to the trunk. Bends and crooks kept to a minimum and sweep MUST NOT exceed one half the diameter of the base, particularly in the 73" poles. No dead wood, no skidding damage.

We prefer a ratio of two 73" poles for every longer pole. One sapling often will have a couple pole lengths available.

We can pick up quantities of 100 or more within 30 miles of Acworth. Otherwise, you deliver to us in Acworth, NH. No deliveries after March 1. We are not accepting saplings from south of the NH-Mass border due to insect importation concerns.

Also interested in hardwood sapling stands 10-20 years old within 30 miles of Acworth, NH for to harvest poles directly. We will pay you a stumpage amount.

Please send photos of supply with scale to measure. If you are uncertain about the suitability of your poles, we'll look at your photos and try to help you out.
